Our cooking classes for kids & adults have proven to be perennial favorites among our visitors. Below is the list of cooking classes for 2019. Occasionally we do add classes or update information so please check back often for new information!

Add to your menu repertoire and attend one of our cooking classes. Taught by our professional farm stand chefs & bakers, some classes are demonstration style with tastings of what is being prepared & some are hands-on. All participants will leave with new skills, recipes & food made during the cooking class! Verrill Farm cooking classes are perfect for dates, outings with friends or a perfect way to meet new people if you are attending alone! February 2020

Adult Baking Class: Macaron - Wednesday, Feb 5th - 6 PM - 8 PM

Back by popular demand! Work with the talented Verrill Farm bakery team to learn the art of making French Macarons. Learn all the techniques to make this elegant French confection. Class will include hands on baking, recipes and treats to take home. $55 per student. Call 978-369-4494 to reserve.

Kids Baking Class: Cream Puffs! Tuesday, Feb 18th - 3PM - 4:30PM

This session will be targeted for students grades 4 - 6. Join the Verrill Farm bakery team over school vacation and learn about some of the science behind the french dough known as "pate a choux". Students will learn mixing and shaping techniques and will make a variety of goodies with this one simple dough. Class will cover cream puffs, gougères and more! Sweet & Savory: Farm stand chefs will use the earliest local crops to inspire the menu for this Spring cooking class. Menu coming soon. Cost: $50 per student (plus tax).

Learn to Make Azorean Queijadas de Nata - Wednesday, June 5th - 7PM - 9PM

Azores native and Culinary Guild of New England member Guida Ponte and host Jen Verrill will teach us how to make Portugal's famous pasteis de nata--called queijadas de nata in the Azores--the irresistible pastry featuring custard surrounded by buttery, flaky pastry (also known as pasteis de Belem after the famous bakery in Lisbon). Although they will be using pre-made puff pastry due to time constraints, they will demonstrate how to make your own puff pastry. These melt-in-your-mouth morsels are destined to become the next donut! You can read more about the future of the perfumed pastry here. This relaxing evening includes light snacks. A maximum of 15 people may attend. $25 per person. Tickets can be purchased online.
